Manchester United 0-3 Manchester City: Haaland and Foden Goals

Manchester City thrashed Manchester United 3-0 in a one-sided Manchester derby at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Erling Haaland scored twice and Phil Foden added another as City extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to six points.

United were outplayed from start to finish and rarely threatened their rivals' goal. City were in control from the off and took the lead after just 10 minutes when Haaland tapped home from close range after a cross from Kevin De Bruyne.

The Norwegian doubled his tally just before the hour mark with a stunning strike from outside the box. Foden then completed the scoring with a neat finish in the 73rd minute.

The result leaves United in fifth place in the table, 11 points behind City. It was a disappointing performance from Erik ten Hag's side, who have now lost three of their last four games.

City, meanwhile, continue to look unstoppable. They have now won their last six games in all competitions and are clear favorites to retain their Premier League title.

Conclusion

Manchester City's thrashing of Manchester United was a statement of intent. They are the best team in England by a distance and are on course to win their third Premier League title in a row. United, on the other hand, are in disarray. They have lost three of their last four games and are in danger of missing out on a top-four finish.
