Gian Piero Gasperini insists Atalanta not favourites in Coppa Italia

The 2023 Coppa Italia final was the final match of the 2022–23 Coppa Italia, the 76th edition of Italy's premier national football cup, the Coppa Italia.

The match was played on 24 May 2023 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, between Atalanta and Inter Milan. Inter Milan won the match 2–1, with goals from Lautaro Martínez and Nicolò Barella, to win their 8th Coppa Italia title.

Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini insisted that his team were not the favourites going into the match, despite their impressive form in the competition.

"We are not the favourites," Gasperini said. "Inter are a great team, with great players. We will have to play our best game if we want to win."
